The Kunjung Institute of Technology and Innovation (KITI) was established on 27th February 2003. Initial capital of Nu. 1.5 million was invested to cater the needs on training and development of individual and organization viz. Information and Communication Technology (ICT), COMMUNICATION, CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION, CUSTOMER SERVICE, FINANCE, HUMAN CAPITAL & MANAGEMENT, MARKETING & SALES, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, STARTEGIC MANGEMENT etc. in the central region.

The institute and the training programs are rated number (ONE) in the country by the Department of Occupational Standards( DOS), Ministry of Labour and Human Resources(MoLHR). Its Course Curricula are all registered and accredited by DoS, MoLHR. The Institute was renamed as Kunjung Institute of Technology & Innovation (KITI) in 2014. Over the years, the net worth of the Institute has increased to Nu. 5.00 million. The Institute has trained more than 15,000 individuals in various fields in the last one decade.

KITI is managed by Mr. Uttam Lama ( Chief Executive Officer) with the support from seasoned and veteran professionals, this includes Director General (DGs), Managing Directors (MDs), Specialist, Professor, Educationist, Economist, Chartered Accountants and Diplomats.
